Waynesboro City Council considering development planHomeowners expressed their concerns about a proposed development plan off Windigrove Drive in Waynesboro, focusing largely on traffic and safety issues. Developers want to build 234 apartments and commercial space in the area. Peter Wray, a co-owner of the of land on Windigrove, assured residents and council members that needed road improvements would be made in the first phase of the project. The council will revisit the proposal on June 28. Homeowners can benefit from well-planned developments, which may trigger a rise in the values of nearby properties. Careful attention must be paid to infrastructure, however, as traffic congestion can frustrate commuters and cause them to avoid the area. Read more in the Waynesboro News Virginian....
