Washington Town Council Approves Rezoning for Sewer Project
"Properties owned by the Inn at Little Washington, the Child Care and Learning Center, and J&B of Virginia (Jimmy DeBergh) were approved for re-zoning by the Town Council pending certain proffers from two of the property owners. The proffers are agreements not to develop the property any more than is allowed by current zoning. There was some discussion and questions from those present about the cost of the additional lines and pump stations as a result of adding these properties to the Phase I construction of the sewer project. Council members John Sullivan and Gary Schwartz were particularly adamant that from a cost perspective, this move was beneficial to the town." Posted on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 - 1:14pm
