Washington area home prices up from a decade agoHomeowners in the Washington area have seen less impact from the recession on their property values than homeowners elsewhere in the nation, according to the latest S&P Case-Shiller Home Price Index. Homes prices in the area are 78% higher than they were in January 2000. The local housing market has benefited from measured growth and lower unemployment rates than seen in much of the United States. Read more....
